King Charles always wanted to have a very close family and that’s why he tried to be close with Meghan, who married his son Prince Harry back in 2018.

But everything changed the moment Meghan’s true personality came out, which is the reason why King Charles and many other members of the royal family decided to distance themselves from the Duchess of Sussex.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “At first Charles tried to reach out to Meghan and treated her with the same love and affection as he did Catherine. But they are very different characters.”

“He welcomed her with open arms and wanted her to feel part of the family. That is why Harry and Meghan’s behavior has cut him to the quick.”

The insider added, “Before all this happened, Charles was much closer to his second son than to William.”

“But if there is a positive to be taken from the Sussexes’ departure, it is that William and his father are now closer than they were before, perhaps more than they have ever been.”

And as much as King Charles would love to have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back in the royal fold, not everyone feels that same way.

That’s why they are willing to take baby steps with Prince Harry. But if there’s one person that everyone, including Prince William, wants to keep at a distance, it’s Meghan Markle.

So far Buckingham Palace has made no comments about the matter just yet.
