Three Times The Rumor Mill Caught Queen Camilla Acting Sketchy

British royal family news reveals that Queen Camilla has been through the wringer via her association with the monarchy.

Once the “other woman” she now sits on the throne and by and large the public has come to accept the woman the late Diana portrayed as the third party in her marriage to King Charles.

Royal pundit Penny Junor told Vanity Fair: “Before she married Charles, no one really knew Camilla. They only knew that Diana had called her a Rottweiler.” Here is what to know about some of Camilla’s more shady alleged behavior.

Camilla Clashed With Kate

Royal author Christopher Andersen claims that Camilla’s jealousy of Princess Catherine makes for a tense dynamic between them.

He said that at one time “Tensions mounted as the two queens-in-waiting protected the interests of their kings and their competing courts vied for the love of the people and the power that comes with it.”

This rumor was large and in charge following King Charles’ 2024 cancer diagnosis. At the time it was alleged that Camilla was fearful of losing her current royal role.

A source told Us Weekly “Her whole life, she has always wanted to be queen, so she doesn’t want to let it go so fast.” Luckily the monarch continues to do well and Camilla has nothing to fear.

But there are always outsiders to contend with and Prince Harry told “60 Minutes” that his stepmother was “dangerous.” Which makes us wonder what he would call himself.

Over the last 30 years, Camilla’s reputation has been scrubbed but there are still lingering whispers about her past—here’s another tidbit.

Camilla Smoked Like a Chimney

Queen Camilla has a bit of a party girl reputation, with her own son stoking the rumor mill! Tom Parker Bowles talked to The Times in 2024 about her “reputation of drinking gin and smoking” something that pales in comparison to Harry’s love of illicit ayahuasca.

Royal pundit Angela Levin leaned into the conjecture in the documentary “Queen Camilla: The Wicked Stepmother.” She said on camera that Camilla is an “Incredibly heavy smoker, one after the other. That’s sort of left her with a hoarse voice, and she would drink quite a lot.”

Furthermore royal author Brian Hoey maintained that Camilla kept a stash of cigarettes throughout the castle so that she could smoke whenever and wherever she wanted.

In Camilla’s own words, she’s been tippling since childhood! She told the U.K. Vineyards Association “My father was in the wine business, so I was brought up as a child drinking wine and water rather like the French.”

Camilla Instigated William and Kate’s Breakup?

William and Catherine, Prince and Princess of Wales, broke up in 2007 although they married several years later. Complicating the scenario were rumors that “Camilla basically whispered in Charles’s ear that it was really time to make — to force — William to make a decision one way or the other.”

Of this, royal author Christopher Anderson told The Daily Beast that Camilla never warmed to commoner Kate Middleton nor her family.

But royal pundit Katie Nicholl softened this stance, saying that both King Charles and Queen Elizabeth simply urged William not to rush into anything. Where have we heard those words before … ?
