Timeline Of Kate Middleton’s Medical Crisis, From Planned Surgery To Cancer Announcement

British royal family news reveals that today it was announced that Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

The news comes after she underwent a “planned” abdominal surgery in January; tests later revealed the presence of cancer, the type and location of which the palace is not revealing. Here is the timeline of Kate’s odyssey since January.

Royal Family News – Kate Middleton Has Cancer

According to MailOnline, prior to her January operation, Kate was last seen on December 25, 2023 at a Christmas Day service at Sandringham in Norfolk.

She was photographed with Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Later reports followed the major events of Kate’s subsequent departure from public life.

January, 16, 2024: Kate arrived at London Clinic for planned abdominal surgery.

January 17: Kensington Palace reveals Kate has undergone successful surgery and will remain in the hospital for ten to 14 days.

January 17: Buckingham Palace announces 90 minutes later that King Charles will be treated in the same hospital for an enlarged prostate.

January 26: King Charles arrives at the London Clinic for prostate treatment.

January 29: Kate and Charles are discharged from London Clinic on the same day.

Photos show Charles waving to well-wishers with Camilla by his side. Days later Camilla left Charles for a sunny vacation with reports indicating she needed a break.

Kate is not seen departing, but Kensington Palace states she has returned home to Windsor.

February 5: Buckingham Palace reveals Charles has cancer.

February 7: Prince Harry arrives, reportedly uninvited, to see his father. Reports indicate he was there anywhere between 12 to 45 minutes before departing on his own and leaving the next day.

February 27: William cancels his attendance at a memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece in Windsor due to a “personal matter.”

March 4: A photo shows Kate as a front seat passenger in a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton.

March 11: Prince William and Kate are seen leaving Windsor, as passengers in a vehicle.

March 10: Kensington Palace releases a photograph of Kate and her children on Mother’s Day.

March 11: AP later “killed” the publication of the photo, citing it had been “manipulated.”

Later Kate admitted to “editing” the image and apologized for any “confusion.” Later that day Kate was seen in a car driven by William.

March 18: A video is published by TMZ and The Sun showing William and Kate leaving the Windsor Farm Shop on March 16.

March 22: Princess Catherine reveals in a video message that she has cancer, is receiving treatment, and will “be ok.”
