Tom Cruise Pays Tribute To Queen Elizabeth

Tom CruiseTom Cruise is a Royal Family fan.  The Queen attended the final night of an equestrian extravaganza show celebrating her 70 years of reign.  As she arrived in the castle arena for the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the royal was met with a standing ovation. Big names appearing at the event include American actor Tom Cruise, Katherine Jenkins and Helen Mirren.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show has been running since Thursday night and is the beginning of the planned events that will mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Queen was awfully touched by the grand reception she received as she smiled all the way through to her seat in the royal box. Her Majesty attended the 90-minute performance alongside the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

She was also spotted with Prince Edward on Friday, when she graced the horse racing competition after missing the opening day. One of her fell ponies was crowned the supreme champion.

Due to her mobility issues, the monarch has rarely attended in-person engagements this year, so seeing her at the event was a real thrill to royal fans.

The grand show, titled “A Gallop Through History”, featured 500 horses and 1000 performers. The Queen is known for her deep love for horses and horse-riding. Fun fact: the royal hasn’t missed the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 79 years!

Billed as a “personal tribute to our monarchy”, the production showcased more than five hundred years of British history. The entire show featured international and national military, equestrian and dance displays.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show’s Key Appearances

Tom Cruise called the performance of the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery as “one of the most enthralling, thrilling, heart-in-mouth displays”.

The Queen reportedly enjoyed the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force’s steel drum troupe performance of the rhythmic version of Abba’s hit song “Dancing Queen”.

She was also spotted clapping during a traditional presentation from the Royal Cavalry Oman, a show of horsemanship that saw horses lying down on command.
