Prince William is usually quite popular with royal family fans and many of them live in New Zealand. However, there’s a roasting going down on Twitter after the Prince of Wales gave Jacinda Ardern a top job with his Earthshot Prize team, In fact, he claimed that she was largely responsible for the success of his venture. Now, furious non-fans slam dunk her and her favorite royal on social media.
Prince William Critics Feel He Gets Dangerously Political
Net Zero, 15-minute Cities, The Great Reset et al become increasingly political issues. And the royal family are meant to stay away from politics. In fact, then-prince Charles was slammed for what’s perceived as interference in politics when Boris Johnston wanted to send refugees to Rwanda. Now that his son appointed Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s ex-prime minister, it seems that indeed, “no good deed goes unpunished.”
Prince William, it seems, would have picked up a lot of heat if he’d just made unpopular Arden his tea maid. He might be concerned that his brother Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle might upset the apple cart during his dad’s coronation, but he just shoved the apple cart right into the ditch for a lot of people. Well, why are so many people raging about Jacinda Ardern after her appointment was made public?
Prince William Backed An Unpopular Horse
Writing for the Daily Mail on April 5, Dan Wootton delivered a scathing piece. In his article, he wrote, “Despite the MSM portrayal of Ardern as some sort of harmless heroine, she is actually one of the most controversial politicians from down under in a generation –and I believe William has been badly advised when it comes to this appointment.”
He also talked about her draconian lockdown measures, saying in part, “Ardern pursued a dystopian Zero Covid policy by locking down millions because of a solitary Covid case in her hermit kingdom.”
He’s also furious because she “proudly boasted about creating a two-tiered society based on Covid vaccine status, eventually sacking teachers, police officers, doctors, pharmacists and even vets who chose to exercise their right to bodily autonomy.”
Prince William certainly seems to have stirred up the waters by appointing the extremely unpopular prime minister to the Earthshotteam. The article also talked about how over “50 percent” of the population of New Zealand decided she was “a terrible leader.” Pretty much, Attorney and author, Michael P Senger agreed. On Twitter, he let rip about it.
Twitter Roast The Appointment Of Ardern
Prince William and Jacinda took a roasting on the social media platform. Senegr said, “Jacinda Ardern, who denounced lockdown opponents as being motivated by “extremism” and insisted the government be “your single source of truth” during COVID, has been embraced by the British royal family and given a new role fighting ‘online extremism.”
Plenty of others feel aggrieved. Here’s a small example of other reactions in the comments:
Yep—the Royals are right to generally stay out of politics, but this move with Zero Covid darling Ardern shows which side they’re firmly on. A strong case for abolishing the monarchy, or at least seriously downsizing it to a small cultural relic.

Appalling decision. Reflects very badly on William.

It shows who he is and what he stands for – and that's definitely not to protect the rights and freedoms of the people, as per the monarch's oath. They are traitors to the people and have been for much too long.

She's a very dangerous person indeed – surely the @RoyalFamily know better than to get involved with her ilk?

Other Issues With The Former Prime Minister
What do you think? Did you know that apart from all those complaints, polls in New Zealand reported by The Guardian revealed other issues that people had with Jacinda? They included “frustrations over [the] high cost of living, rising interest rates and concerns about crime.” Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.,
