Vogue UK’s Top 25 List Of Influential Women Is Out And Meghan Markle Didn’t Make The Cut

Vogue UK’s top 25 list of influential women is out and Meghan Markle didn’t make the cut, but her grandmother-in-law did. Queen Elizabeth was on the respected list based on her illustrious work ethic and place in the global humanitarian stratosphere.

Page Six reports that the magazine editors gave the Queen a spot on the list due to her being a “source of support” to the public while the coronavirus pandemic raged on. Her shining example came while she herself was in isolation and in spite of the fact that she had to be worried about her son, Prince Charles who caught the virus and thankfully survived.

In April Queen Elizabeth addressed the nation concerning the pandemic and her appearance and strong yet comforting words inspired the nation to carry on. She quoted beloved nation icon, Vera Lynn, in saying, “We will meet again,” and 24 million people gained strength from her televised appearance.

UK Vogue Has No Room For Meghan Markle On Its A-List

The magazine described the women who made the prestigious list as having, “prescience, power, and poise.” Where does that leave Meghan? Clearly, not on the list.

The magazine wrote this about the Queen, “Even in 2020 — a precarious year for the Royal Family in other ways — the Queen is still a source of unique solace and support to the public.”

Everyone who can read between the lines knows that the mag chose to tread lightly around Prince Harry and Meghan who were instrumental in making the year, as they say, “precarious” for The Firm. They ditched the royal family in 2020 and made a fresh start of life in America, where they have been roundly criticized for judging the world during a pandemic while they live in the lap of luxury and have no jobs.

In fact, the Queen is the only female member of her family to make the list this year.

Meghan And Harry Were Key In Making The Year Precarious For The Queen?

But don’t cry for Meghan, she guest-edited Vogue UK’s 2019 September issue. And what an issue it was. Besides, she has a bio coming out this month which should earn her some press, although maybe not the kind she wants.

So, who else got a spot on the list? Daisy Edgar-Jones from the hit BBC drama Normal People was featured. She was called, the “star of lockdown,” for her performance on the series. Also, makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury was accorded a spot as was Michaela Coel.

There’s always next year, Meghan. But, based on the bios of the people on the list, you might want to actually do something incredible?
