British royal family news divulges that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been showing us more and more of their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
We still don’t exactly know what they look like from the front, but we’ve seen plenty of the back of their heads and bodies. Sometimes a side angle–as is the case with Meghan’s just released PR shot for her latest brand, As Ever.
Meghan last year told CBS News Sunday Morning “Our kids are young. They’re 3 and 5. They’re amazing. But all you want to do as parents is protect them.” Since it seems like we may finally meet them years after their births, let’s take a look at what we know about Harry’s kids.
Harry Has Two Children
Archie was born in in London in 2019, one year after the pair married. In 2021 Lili was born in Santa Barbara, Calif.
In June 2022 the Markle family was in England for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration where Lili met her great-grandmother and her grandfather King Charles for the first and only time.
Meghan held a backyard birthday picnic at Frogmore Cottage for her and released the first and only portrait of Lili showing her cute red hair.
Lili was also seen in her parents’ Netflix reality show as she sat on her dad’s lap while he read her a story.
Bore Harry said “What’s most important for the two of us is to make sure that we don’t repeat the same mistakes that perhaps our parents made.”
Meghan added “There’s so much I think from anyone’s childhood that you bring with you into the present. Especially when you’re the product of divorce.”

Also during the Harry & Meghan, Tyler Perry shared that he was asked to be Lili’s godfather.
Eloquently he stated: “I called them back and go, ‘Uh, hold on a second — does this mean we gotta go over [to the U.K.] and do all of that in church with [the royal family] and figure all that out?
‘Cause I don’t wanna do that. ‘Maybe we can do a little private ceremony here [in the U.S.] and let that be that, and if you have to do it there, then that’s okay.'”
Lili was christened by the Archbishop of Los Angeles on March 3, 2023, at Harry and Meghan’s home.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor
Harry and Meghan’s first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, in London. Soon after Meghan cooed: “He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm.”
At 4 months old, Archie met South African anti-apartheid activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Despite that historic meetup, Meghan told the media about a “fire” that broke out in the nursery yet according to People “the couple had to quickly leave their son for another scheduled engagement.”
Archie was later seen in a joint Harry/Ozemprah show The Me You Can’t See. Harry revealed that a picture of the late Diana hangs in Archie’s nursery and that one of his first words was “grandma” after “mama” “papa” and “crocodile.”
Fast forward to the present day and at the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada proud Harry shared what he talks about with Archie: “It’s a very interesting conversation to have with your kids — to explain why that person is missing a leg, why that person is missing an arm, why do they look the way they do.” He also claimed that Archie is interested in landmines, which the prince used as a segue to talk about Diana’s legacy.
While we may not know much about two of the most talked about kids in the world, what we do know, courtesy of their parents, is fascinating, wouldn’t you agree?
