Whoopi Goldberg Blasts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle For Their “Chase” Story that “Doesn’t Work”

If you’re one of those questioning the reasonableness of Harry and Meghan’s “near-catastrophic” chase story in NYC this week, you’re not alone. “Sister’s Act” Whoopi Goldberg is not sure Harry and Meghan’s description of what happened fits reality. Maybe in Los Angeles, bit def not in New York, per Goldberg.

The story of the over two hour “near-catastrophic car chase” in NYC by paparazzi has been picked apart thread by thread by many people, from Caitlyn Jenner, Megyn Kelly, the police, the taxi driver, the photographers, e.t.c. Now Whoopi Goldberg has joined the chat.

Speaking on Thursday’s episode of The View, Goldberg cast doubts as to the honesty of the Sussexes’ spokesperson’s claims, saying, “Their spokesperson called it a near catastrophic car chase.

Others said it wasn’t bad, but I think people in New York know if it was possible to have car chases in New York, we’d all make it to the theater on time.”

Whoopi Goldberg Disagrees With Harry and Meghan’s Spokesperson’s Claims

Goldberg didn’t entirely discredit the reasonableness that they could be scared even in a more realistic version of the events, adding, “I think their spokesperson referenced something that you generally would reference in Los Angeles.

hat’s where you have chases, that’s where you can move at high speeds. I think they were dealing with aggressive paparazzi, but I don’t think it was where, you know, you’re watching on TV … just watching the cars go … because it just doesn’t work in New York.”

Fellow host Joy Behar then joked, “Sometimes I’m in the city and I hear an ambulance trying to get through and I think, ‘That person is dead.’”

Another co-host reminded people that they didn’t technically say “high speed chase” – even though their close ally Omid Scobie said it was “80 mph” chase – so people mustn’t easily discredit their version of events.
