British royal family news teases that social media has had a field day with some members of the monarchy. Harry and Meghan have been willing participants in the bruhaha but why is dignified Queen Elizabeth the subject of untoward gossip?
This year she turns 96 and celebrates her Platinum Jubilee. She has made it this far without personal scandal to speak of and yet the online rumor mill is churning in her name. What gives?
Royal Family News – Why Is Queen Elizabeth Churning The Gossip Mill?
Believe it or not, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is the subject of a conspiracy theory! It goes like this: she has died and the palace is covering it up. Could it be that the monarch is actually deceased and no one is the wiser? We don’t believe it and neither should you.
For one thing, the upcoming Platinum Jubilee commemorates her 70th anniversary of being queen. There is no way the palace would fib about her status all the while trying to pull off such a tremendous event.
Royal Family News – What Is The Platinum Jubilee?
The rumor is likely fed by the fact that the queen has had limited visibility in recent months, that much is true. She has experienced health issues, one of which caused her to spend the night in the hospital. And the palace did allegedly try to cover that up so … their cred is a little worse for wear. But still, would they even contemplate deceiving the public about her death?
After all there is already an elaborate plan in place—Operation London Bridge—to be deployed the instant she is no longer of this earth. That plan has been well publicized so there is no reason to think that aides would panic and not know what to do once the queen is gone.
Yet the rumors persist. And the in their wake are numerous memes and comments that range from disbelief to humorous—as amusing as one can be given the circumstance.
Royal Family News – When Will Queen Elizabeth Appear Again?
Let’s take a deeper dive into this so-called “conspiracy.” Some conjecture that the palace would be loath to announce the queen’s death during the festive holidays. And, some have speculated that she needs to appear to be alive in order for her to notch seven decades as monarch—a nice round number versus 69 years.

If it’s any comfort, this is not the first time such hubbub has surfaced. In 2019 royal experts assured Twitter posters that the queen was really, truly alive, and they did the same to Redditors in 2018. In other words, this is all much ado about nothing.
