Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Rebrand Is Being Rejected By the World

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finally out of the pre-branding process and have officially launched the new direction they want their focus to be on, along with a number of exciting new projects.

To top this off, the couple have decided to unite their brand under the Sussex.com arm, and Meghan’s even got her very own coat of arms. Things are looking brighter for the couple already, but maybe fans are not so receptive?

Shortly after stepping back from their roles as senior royals, Harry and Meghan signed a lucrative deal with Spotify to create entertaining and family content for the platform.

The Sussexes kicked off this partnership with a short audio content, before launching Meghan’s very own “Archetypes” podcast series.

Sadly, “Archetypes” was cancelled after one season run and their deal with Spotify axed. In the months following it.

Meghan reportedly searched for a new home for her series, even shopping it around to Audible – Spotify’s main competitor. Finally, it’s found a home in the female-founded platform Lemonada.

In a statement released earlier this month, Meghan said: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.

Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Latest Branding Direction Isn’t Scoring Points With UK Fans, Expert Says

Since the couple’s latest attempt at rebranding, they have made several appearances, from movie premieres to an Invictus event.

However, their latest rebrand is reportedly not winning them any popularity points.

Speaking on Sky News Australia, Royal commentator Josh Rom said: “The ‘grifter’ word comes to mind with this because this is them trying to keep in with this institution in some way, shape or form.

Let’s be honest, that’s the only way in which they’re going to retain relevancy and, you know, the only reason why people pay them any sort of attention is because of the role in which this institution provided for them.”

Several commentators weighed in during the “Why the World is Rejecting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rebrand” segment.
