Prince Harry’s relationship with his family has disintegrated to new lows ahead of his upcoming 40th birthday. While he’s moved on from publicly attacking his family, the release of ‘Spare’s’ paperback is seen by many to be a new form of slap to the Royal Family. It’s like, yeah, who cares my father King Charles is sick from cancer, have more ‘Spare’ y’all.
Prince Harry Shouldn’t Get Security As No One Wants Him In The UK
When Prince Harry left his role as a senior working member of the Royal Family, he lost his taxpayer funded police protection. The reality of this is apparently still keeping him up at night because he has chosen to appeal the Judge’s ruling, which went to RAVEC’s favor.
Protection officer Dick Griffin told The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson: “RAVEC, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, have decided he’s not going to get protection in this country and that’s an ongoing saga and he’s still arguing about whether he should get it or not.”
Just to make sure he has the same protection as big brother Prince William and his family in the UK, he has offered to pay for it, instead of letting it fall on the shoulders of taxpayers. However, his offer apparently isn’t enough to get him back his security.
“I’m not quite sure why he thinks he should get it. If he was coming back to take up a full Royal Family life, he would automatically get it.”
He added: “The Government are not silly, they review every visit to this country and they know all the threat assessments – whoever it is, it could be anyone – if he [Harry] needs protection he’ll be given protection. His excuse of security just didn’t wash because if he’s that worried about security he could have stuck with his father, who has got the best security in the land.”
Griffin was probably talking about the last few times Harry visited the UK. The Duke’s very last visit saw him stay with the Spencers in his late mother’s childhood home.
Adding to this, royal expert Arthur Edwards noted that “he’s no longer welcome here.”
What do you think Harry should do? Should he move on and concentrate on life in America with Meghan and their two young children?
