Donald Trump may have resided in the White House, but he did not preside over the Round Table. That rumor gained traction in 2022 via a post on X thought to have been written by Trump.

The post read: “I never told anybody but she knighted me in private.” Later the Associated Press debunked the notion that Trump wrote the message and a Trump spokesperson affirmed that the former president did not claim to have ben knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth.

Although Donald Trump was not knighted, there are three United States presidents who did receive the lofty title: Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush.

During her 70 year reign, the late Queen Elizabeth met 13 out of 14 presidents elected during that timespan. Trump has been open about his admiration for the regent whom he met in 2019, but he did not make the cut for a glitzy royal title.

Royal Family News – Who Did Queen Elizabeth Knight?

Elizabeth’s father knighted Eisenhower and she knighted Reagan and Bush. Both ceremonies took place during a private lunch with the queen.

Elizabeth and Reagan are said to have bonded over their mutual love of all things equestrian and Elizabeth and Prince Philip once visited the Reagans at their California ranch where they rode horses.

George H.W. Bush was also knighted during a private lunch at Buckingham Palace and it is reported that the late monarch and Bush also shared a warm friendship. During a visit to the U.S., Bush escorted the queen on a trip to Congress and she was invited to dine with his family.

    It was my understanding that the Queen didn’t really like Donald. She felt he and his family were rude. Very ill-mannered.
