As many fans know, Meghan Markle left Suits back in 2017, right before she and Prince Harry announced their engagement. There was just no way that Meghan could continue her work in Hollywood and be a part of the royal family at the same time. Plus, she now lives in London with Harry and hasn’t really made many trips back home across the pond.
Speaking to Deadline, the show’s creator Aaron Korsh says that while he doesn’t think Meghan Markle will be returning to the show anytime soon, he’s not closing the door entirely on the idea, either. As a matter of fact, he’s leaving it open, should Meghan ever reconsider in the future.
“You never know,” Korsh told Deadline. “There is always a chance she is going to pick up the phone and call me and say, ‘Can I come back?’, and if she did she would be welcomed back with arms wide open. But no, l don’t see that happening.”
And while we won’t be seeing Rachel Suits, her on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams will be returning to reprise his role as Mike Ross for the show’s last and final season. With that said, fans will at least get an idea of what Rachel is doing, even if she won’t be showing up to the office.
Needless to say, Meghan Markle has her hands full these days. Not only is she a full-time member of the monarchy with a schedule full of royal engagements and public appearances, but she also just gave birth to her baby boy! Along with her husband Prince Harry, Meghan introduced little Archie Harrison to the world two days after he was born back in May. Since then, they have been holed up in their new home at Frogmore Cottage. Meghan is expected to be on her maternity leave until the end of the summer.
