While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to step down from their positions as senior members of the royal family, it appears as though their ‘Megxit’ will bring a lot of changes not only for their family, but the royals back in London, too. In fact, it appears as though Prince Charles won’t get to see or might not even get much access to his grandson, Archie Harrison in the future. Here’s what you need to know.

Previous reports have indicated that Prince Charles was none too pleased that he didn’t have as much access to his grandchildren Prince George and Princess Charlotte. That’s because instead of spending time with him at the royal’s summer estate in Scotland, they were hanging out with their grandmother Carole Middleton instead. Now it looks like history is about to repeat itself with little Archie.

It’s been noted that one of the reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose Vancouver as their new base is because it’s close to Meghan’s native Los Angeles. With Harry, Meghan and Archie being only a short flight away from L.A., this means that grandmother Doria Ragland will get to see them more than ever before. That’s because Doria lives full-time in Los Angeles.

So, what does this mean for Prince Charles? Seeing how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are carving out their own path, there’s a good chance that little Archie might not get to see any of his royal family members or cousins as often as he would if they remained in London. With the Cambridges very close to Kate Middleton’s family and now the Sussexes closer to Doria Ragland in L.A., the future King of England won’t get to spend as much time with his grandchildren as he would probably like.
