British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry has been slapped with a big property tax bill for his Montecito, California McMansion.

He and his first wife Meghan Markle moved into the abode in 2020, after defecting from the British monarchy and couch surfing in Tyler Perry’s home.

According to reports, the 18,000-square-feet home (that boasts its own stripper pole) cost $14.5million (£11million) four years ago. Successful working celebs like Oprah Winfrey, David Foster, and Gwenyth Paltrow reside in the private community that is a stone’s throw from Santa Barbara.

In 2020 the Douche and Douchess of Sussex fled their all-expenses paid lifestyle in the UK and hopped around like hoboes before settling on the modest mansion. They had been living in Frogmore Cottage but were later evicted by Harry’s father, King Charles.

Today the thirsty pair live with their children Archie and Lilibet, and a gaggle of rescue chickens, on a five acre estate that boasts nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool, a tennis court, gardens, a 5-car garage, a guesthouse, a spa, a wine cellar, a gym, and a tea house.

Initially it was thought that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was living on the premises but she has not been seen publicly for ages.

According to The Sun, the Markle’s 2021 tax bill was $141,000 (£108,000), in 2022 it was $144,000 (£110,000) and in 2023 it was $146,600. How they pay their bills is anyone’s guess as both are unemployed.

In recent days articles have purported that the couple are desperate to get back in the royal family’s good graces following a string of business failures. They were tossed from Spotify after being labeled “f****** grifters” and The Hollywood Reporter called the “biggest losers.”

Meanwhile Meghan and Harry continue to display the type of self-serving behavior that has pushed them to the bottom of You.Gov popularity polls, just marginally above disgraced Prince Andrew who has been accused of pedophilia.

Last weekend, hours before the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Meghan hustled herself at Oprah Winfrey’s book club near her home. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam called the questionable move a “dreadful mistake.”

In another classless move, Netflix advertised Prince Harry’s pony show immediately after Princess Catherine announced on September 9 that she is now cancer free. Fans were not amused that his silly promotion coincided with Kate Middleton’s Instagram update that her cancer treatment is now completed.
