The first daughter of TLC Patriarch Kody Brown and ex-wife Christine Brown, heavily doubts if her dad will be getting another wife in addition to Robyn after his first three wives left him.
Mykelti Brown seems to be absolutely sure that Kody will not be marrying more wives in the future, she “heavily doubt[s]” that. What’s more? Her husband Antonio “Tony” Padron concurs with her, “I super doubt it. Like, I’m pretty 100 percent sure that’s a no.”
The first wife to leave Kody after realizing her worth is his third wife Christine Brown, 50. Christine announced her divorce from the patriarch via Instagram in November 2021.
In December of the following year, his second wife Janelle Brown, 53, left him, few weeks later, his first wife Meri Brown, 52, followed suit. They left in the order of 3, 2, 1.
Sister Wives — The Reason Mykelti Brown Is Sure Kody Won’t Take Another Wife
Kody Married Meri in 1990, through legal means. He married Janelle and Christine in 1993 and 1994 respectively but both marriages were done spiritually. In 2010, Kody divorced Meri in order to marry Robyn legally.
According to Mykelti, Kody is likely to not take in another wife, “Part of that is because my dad and my moms aren’t really part of the religion anymore either.”
“The religion we grew up with, the Apostolic United Brethren, [is] where the polygamy base of faith and Mormonism kind of came from. They’re not active in the church and they’re not active in that religion or their beliefs in that church.”
Despite how sure Mykelti is about Kody not getting married for the fifth time, a Cameo video uploaded earlier this month had Kody shockingly spilling that he and Robyn are “basically monogamous.”
Although it might have slipped his mouth, he quickly added, “Don’t let that out yet, it’s probably a spoiler,” before admitting, “but it seems obvious with the new season coming.”
Sister Wives — Robyn’s Take On Monogamy
Pauline Bithell, a co-host of the Tender Loving Care…? podcast with Kate Chindlund, shared with “The U.S. Sun” some inside information she got concerning the patriarch and his monogamous life.
According to Bithell, “Kody wants to carry on and he needs to fill that [new wife] spot very quickly, and I think it’s very much about boosting his ego- his ego has taken a low blow.”
As for what Robyn thinks of Kody getting more wives, “[I’m] scared of it because of how badly this has gone. I really, really struggle with it because it feels, like, ‘Oh, well. Those didn’t work. So, on to [someone] new,'” said Robyn.
She added, “That’s hard for me. That’s really, really hard for me. It feels disrespectful.”
