1,000-Lb.’s Amay Slaten is in the news again, and things don’t look good.
The reality television star is facing child endangerment and drug possession charges after being arrested at a zoo in Tennessee.
On Monday, September 2, officials were responding to calls that a guest had allegedly been bitten by a camel at the Safari Park in Alamo.
The report was documented via a Sheriff Crockett County’s Facebook, via a post.

“1,000-Lb. Sisters” Star Amy Slaton Arrested – “Suspicious Odors”
Once the police arrived at the scene, authorities were overtaken by a suspicious odor coming from a guest’s car.
As per the Facebook post, both Amy Slaton and Brian Scott Lovvorn were arrested and currently face charges of illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule IV, and two counts of child endangerment.
Both have been booked into the Crockett County Jail.
As of this writing, police have not revealed who was bitten by the camel and no other information regarding potential injuries sustained, has been offered.

The Sheriff’s Department included a statement within their Facebook post noting that the allegations and charges referenced in the release are accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence.
The statement also reminds users that the defendant is presumed innocent “unless or until” proven guilty.
It’s been a rough time for Amy as in March of last year, her husband of four years, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce.
The couple share two sons together, Gage Deon aged four and Glenn Allen, aged 2.
Last December, Slaton told PEOPLE that following her divorce, she was prioritizing her two sons and focusing on her mental health.
After a hard 2023, Amy told the magazine that her mental health was the “worst it’s ever been.”
She added that this wasn’t only affecting her, but her son’s Gage and Glenn, too.
