Things are not going well for 90 Day Fiancé Before The 90 Days Tom Brooks and Darcey Silva right now, especially when he weight-shames her.

In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, there was plenty of drama relating to Tom Brooks and his latest chat with Darcey Silva.

In that episode, Tom and Darcey meet for coffee to chat about their relationship and why things are going so wrong between them. Tom suggests he and Darcey be friends, but this doesn’t go well. She immediately rejects Brook’s friendship suggestion.

This led to Tom taking one last low blow relating to Darcey’s weight. Fans were dismayed and shocked at Brooks’ treatment of Darcey. This was followed by Tom making things even worse, by posting a disingenuous apology on Instagram. When he was hit by negative backlash from fans, he quickly deleted the post.

During the bungled meeting for coffee, Tom admitted he talked too much, but also said Darcey was still obsessed with Jesse Meester. He told her it is really hard for him to listen to the “Jesse thing all the time.”

Brooks went on to tell Darcey her idea of love is not for him. He said she had it with Jesse, but that he loves her in a different way, like she was his sister. Brooks then went on to suggest he and Darcey maintain a friendship, which she declined. Tom was apparently stung by her reaction and asked her if she put some weight on.

Darcey managed to keep back the tears until she was in the bathroom alone, but on her way there, she told producers that Tom isn’t a nice person, saying he is “disgusting.”

Tom Brooks’s bungled apology

Fans were shocked that Tom had suggested he and Darcey remain friends and started making posts on Instagram, tagging Brooks. In the meantime, he made the apology about asking whether she had put on weight, but fans weren’t feeling it.

In that apology, Brooks shared a clip from the start of his season on 90 Day Fiancé, in which Darcey told producers, “Tom may not be fit as like, a supermodel, like a workout gym-boy, but that’s not what I want.” He comments over this recording saying “So I’m fat” to reinforce Silva’s claim that she doesn’t want a supermodel.

Tom went on to say this was inappropriate and that he was hurt. He apologized for weight shaming Darcey saying “two wrongs don’t make a right,” while apologizing to her and anyone else that was offended by his remark.
