90 Day Fiance: Deavan Clegg Reveals High Risk Pregnancy

90 Day Fiance fans heard the sad news that Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee’s son, Taeyang was diagnosed with blood cancer. The news arrived at the end of May, shortly after his third birthday. Just weeks before that, the former TLC star shared the happy news that she and her new guy, Topher Park expected their first baby together. However, in an update about her son, she mentioned that her pregnancy is “high risk.”

Taeyang went through a torrid time when he started showing some alarming symptoms. Checking it out, doctors confirmed Deavan’s worst nightmare: her little boy suffers from a devasting disease.  B–cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia needs a lot of treatment, including chemotherapy. At one stage, it became obvious that Jihoon doesn’t really care much, and he’s just living life his own life since the acrimonious split. 

The short-lived joy that the 90 Day Fiance star felt when she fell pregnant soon became a twisted mix of emotions. Taeyang went through a bad time with his chemo, and although he left the hospital, the treatment continued at home. UOdtaes on the GoFundMe that his grandma Alicia started for him, indicated a very miserable little guy. So, on top of her pregnancy, his mom seems just about to bottom out.

In a post on Wednesday this week, the news arrived that the expectant mom isn’t doing very well at the moment. Sharing clips of Taeyang at an aquarium, she said, “I want to start off by saying I’m sorry I haven’t posted an update. Taeyang is doing well and fighting cancer the best he can.” Nevertheless, it all became too much, so she described how she fell “down a rabbit hole.”  Describing this journey as “very difficult,” she hates the thought of possibly losing her baby. 

At one stage, the 90 Day Fiance alum said that she almost felt like “giving up.” She also noted, “the world can be a cruel place and it’s easy to lose faith and see the light the world brings us.” That came when she revealed that her “pregnancy…[is] high risk.” However, she found the strength to get up and carry on because so many people are supportive and sending love their way.

Since then, the 90 Day Fiance star seems to have some good news. In her Story that she shared late on Thursday, Taeyang suddenly seems to be making good progress. In her caption, she said, “Labs came back wonderful.” So, there’s no more need for chemo at home every single day. Mind you, he continues with “the next step of treatment.”
