TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After” stars Paul and Karine Martins Staehle have been in the news quite a bit lately, with him reporting Karine missing and a sheriff coming to the door, and counter restraining orders against each other all over his social media. She’s not missing and Pierre is okay, but in the sneak peek of the next episode, “Compromising Positions” viewers can see these issues beginning to crop up!
90 Day Fiance – Karine Martins Staehle Calls A Car And Goes With Pierre To Get Some Help
Karine leaves the house with Pierre, and says this is the first time she has left the house and gone anywhere without Paul, and she is a little scared. She worries if he returns home before she and Pierre get back that he will be angry. She says that things have not been going well since she and Paul moved to Louisville, Kentucky, his home town, and she left the house wanting to be alone to think.
She says that Paul doesn’t want to go back to Brazil and she doesn’t like it in the United States, and she knows that she will need some help to get out of the situation along with Pierre. She is desperate. She doesn’t want to be torn between Paul and her family back in Brazil.
The “90 Day Fiancé” shows are all filmed several months ahead of their airdates on television, so viewers can see that this trouble between Karine and Paul has been brewing for several months before she left him and took Pierre with her to a safe place, with the help of law enforcement.
In this sneak peek, however, she is not headed for help from an abused women’ and children’s’ agency, she is trying to see what her rights are as a mother wanting to return to her native country with her child, who of course is a dual citizen since Paul is an American, so she goes to an immigration attorney. She goes when Paul is not home and spending time with his mother, and he knows nothing about her plans to see the attorney.
TLC 90 Day Fiance Karine Martins Staehle Talks With N Immigration Attorney
Once in the immigration attorney’s office, Karine, with an interpreter, talks to immigration attorney Raina Attum. She wants to know what options she may have legally and what complications there maybe since they have a child together. Karine tells her that she and Paul are fighting a lot and he hasn’t found a job after two months, which is what they agreed on as a timeline for him to find gainful employment.

She also says all the fighting is not good for either her or Pierre, and she asks what she should do to be able to travel to Brazil with Pierre. Karine tells the attorney that Paul doesn’t want to go back to Brazil and she wants to know what her rights are. Raina Attum tells her that legally she can take Pierre to Brazil without Paul going, but since Paul is Pierre’s father that he has parental rights, and could legally stop her from going, at least with Pierre – he could even claim parental kidnapping if she took off with the baby without his prior knowledge!
Karine doesn’t specify that the situation is abusive, just that they are fighting a lot and she wants to move back to Brazil with the baby, but at least now Karine knows where to start on her plans and what the complications could be.
