Bear Brown from Alaskan Bush People (ABP) pulled a prank this April Fool’s Day, and he apologised on social media. He’s “sorry,” he says, but is he? After all, the Discovery star’s done them before.
Sorry For The Prank
On April 2, Bear took to Instagram and apologized because he’d pranked his followers. However, he didn’t really sound sorry at all. In his reel, he said in part:
A lot of people will not like this…So, I am going to get a little bit of hate for this, and I apologize. It was an April Fool’s prank. I got some of ya, and some I didn’t get. [But] I apologize. I know that some people don’t find it funny. Some people do find it funny. It’s hard for me to resist April 1st.”

The Discovery star also added, “I always try and do a little something on April Fools.”

What Was The Prank?
Celebrating The Soaps reported that Bear Brown had been chopping firewood when he allegedly cut off the end of his ring finger. Looking harassed, he told his followers that he just stopped in on social media to let them know before he was rushed to the hospital.
Notably, some ABP fans who reacted were skeptical because he didn’t show them any blood. However, lots of people sent prayers for healing. So, they might not think that the dad of three boys is all that sorry.
Previous Prank
In April of 2023, Bear posted a photo of a chunk of his hair on Instagram, jokingly offering it on eBay for $1000. Fans quickly called “April Fools!” recognizing his prank. However, many of them forget that each year, some sort of joke goes down. But even so, some people thought he was serious and wondered why the family seemed so cash-strapped.

Some fans of the show took to the comments of the apology. Here are some of their reactions this time:
- It reminded me a lot of the bs that the browns would get into with their infamous “brown luck” lol. I knew it was a joke and laughed, so you’re good in my book.
- Not funny, sorry.
- That was not even funny nor was that a joke.
- OOOMMMGGG BRO…. Not good!! I actually said a little prayer for you bra!
- So many things you can do on april fools. Faking serious injury isn’t when close to being one. Once you’re out of elementary school especially.
@bearthekingofextreme A lot of people will not like this! #alaskanbushpeople #bearthekingofextreme #fyp
As you can see, plenty of people didn’t appreciate the joke or the apology by Bear Brown.
