Spoilers for Episode 5 showed that Matt decided to chat with Sylvie as he’d made a huge decision. He explained that he needs to move away. It’s an altruistic move as he thinks about Ben and Griffin. Their dad, Andy Darden died, and fans saw that Griffin just can’t help to support his brother every well. Initially, Matt decided to move them to Chicago but changed his mind. That came after he heard they might be split up in foster homes. So, instead, he will need to relocate to them in Oregon.
