Chicago Med Season 7 Spoilers – Premiere Pics Reveal Cast Changes
First, let’s look at what we can tell from those first pics unveiled for Chicago Med Season 7, per TV Line.
Many Chicago Med fans hoped that reports of two popular original cast members would prove false. But alas, no sign of those actresses appear in the premiere pics.
Instead, NBC has replaced original cast members Torrey DeVitto, who played Natalie Manning, and Yaya DaCosta, who portrayed April Sexton, with a combination of new cast and promotions for recurring characters.
As a result, look for more appearances by Steven Weber. Rather than return to his recurring role as Dr. Dean Archer, Weber becomes a Chicago Med regular in season 7.
In addition, the new Chicago Med pics reveal additions to the show. Both Kristin Hager and Guy Lockard will become stars in season 7.
Hager portrays Dr. Stevie Hammer. This “brilliant, scrappy emergency medicine doctor” possesses a “surprising past,” according to NBC.
In contrast, Lockard plays Dr. Dylan Scott. This character’s history could turn into a cross-over with Chicago P.D., because Dr. Scott just happens to be “an ex-cop who’s doing a dual residency in emergency medicine and pediatrics.”
Chicago Med Season 7 Spoilers – Chicago Med Welcomes Back This Fan Favorite
Chicago Med fans feared for the worst when we learned that Dr. Will Halstead, played by Nick Gehlfuss, got fired.
Dr. Halstead got pushed out the Emergency Department exit door when he shouldered the blame for the clinical trial drugs stolen by Natalie.
But did her confession turn into a reprieve for Dr. Halstead, or will he get punished for lying?
As the Chicago Med season 7 premiere pics reveal, fan favorite Dr. Halstead has returned to work.
Starring with the new cast members and Nick Gehlfuss, Brian Tee also will return in his role as Dr. Ethan Choi.
How’s his recovery going following the shooting by a former patient in season 7? We hope to learn more about how Dr. Choi may have changed during the Chicago Med premiere this autumn.
