Chicago Med Showrunner Teases Return Of Fan Fave Next Season

Chicago Med just wrapped up Season 10 on May 21, but TV spoilers say TPTB are already planning some big cast shakeups for Season 11. 

According to showrunner Allen McDonald, there will be some big returns when Chicago Med comes back on the airwaves, and fans will be thrilled when they see what original cast members are in the line-up.  Keep reading for all the details!

Chicago Med Season 11 Cast 

Fan fave Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) returned during Season 10 and shared some emotional scenes with Dr. Charles in Season 10.  Then the writers brought in Dr. Charles’ daughter Robin (Mekia Fox) during his cancer storyline.

Viewers at home were thrilled to see some familiar faces back on the canvas, and NBC wants to keep the momentum coming.  That’s why we can expect to see even more original cast members coming back to the Windy City.

MacDonald dropped some exciting Chicago Med spoilers in an interview with TVLine following the Season 10 finale last week. 

The showrunner teased, “I intend to bring back another original cast member or two, like I did Sarah Reese, and that is in the works.” 

Is Torrey DeVitto Coming Back To Chicago Med

The internet is buzzing over which star could be coming back, and Torrey Devito’s name has been tossed around a lot. 

Natalie hasn’t been on Chicago Med since Season 7, and there are always rumors of a possible return for the actress.  Considering her fan base, her return would certainly gives Season 11 a ratings boost. 

Other possible cast members that could be brought back by TPTB include: Colin Donnell (Dr. Connor Rhodes), Nick Gehlfuss (Dr. Will Halstead), Yaya DaCosta (April Sexton), and Brian Tee (Dr. Ethan Choi).  

Chicago Med Season 11 won’t air on NBC until Fall 2025, which means it could be months before fans learn who the returning original cast members are.  As soon as more details are available, we will be sure to pass them along.  Who do you want to see come back to the Windy City?
