She is wrapping up her time as agent Wallace, who has had a hard time of it since the death of Agent Hobbs at the end of season 6. Her character dealt with survivor’s guilt while the rest of team 26 fed scrambled to find their killer.

As for her character, she hoped that Agent Wallace found a bit more levity and peace after their exit. “I would never want to hurt…

Would never want to see Tiffany change from being front-footed, from having gumption and drive, but to see her with a little bit more ease would be a really, really nice new chapter.” In an interview with Deadline she said, “It was time to look toward new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best.”

But how?

How will Kane’s character actually leave the show? No one knows yet, but the details should be forthcoming within the next few weeks. Is there a possibility of Kane’s return in the future?

Well, considering there has been no actual mention of character death yet, that could be in the cards later on. At this point we’re in the “never say never” camp, like we’re sure a lot of fans are. Originally, Kane’s character was brought in as a replacement for Ebonee Noel’s character Kristen Chazal in season 3.

So it’s been quite a ride for fans of the series, because they’ve gotten to know her over the last four seasons and it’s always hard to say goodbye to one’s favorites, even if we’re happy for them in their new endeavors.

Interesting times

Her departure comes at an interesting time, considering how Paramount Studios is shutting down right now, but it is not said whether or not that had any bearing on the actress’s decision to leave.

It seems that this has been in the works for awhile behind the scenes, considering the character actually has an exit that has been written in.

Replacement?

It looks like her character already has a replacement lined up in National Treasure’s Lisette Olivera, as BAU Agent Syd who has gone from Desk Agent to Field Agent.

No word on how the team dynamics will play out yet, but one can be willing to bet that the team will have its fair share of adjustments to make with a new team member. When will the show make it’s premiere? Oct. 15th, 2024 at 8PM EST, in case anyone needs a reminder.

Then again, with the advent of streaming, after the 15th of October time is sort of… relative. Stay tuned!!!
