Filming For Billions Spinoff Will Reportedly Start Soon: Here’s What We Know So Far

Fans may have said their goodbyes to the Showtime series, but the world created within it is yet to be over, with a spinoff already planned and greenlit.

In October 2023, fans of the hit TV series learned that Showtime plans to have not one – or two, mind you – spinoff of the successful series but four.

Hopefully, it won’t go the way most of “Game of Thrones’” spinoffs have gone and every one of them will see production.

Speaking of production, “Billions: London” is gearing up to start filming in August. To maintain familiarity with the original show, even though we’re headed to a brand new location, the network has wisely retained original creators and executive producers Brian Koppelman and David Levien.

What Can Fans Expect From the “Billions” Spinoffs

While details surrounding the new project is under lock and key at the moment, we know enough to know that the upcoming show will center around UK’s finance world.

The original series, which ran for a total of seven seasons, explored a U.S. Attorney’s battle with hedge fund manager and philanthropist, who has accumulated much wealth and power in the high finance world.

The show’s cast included Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis, Maggie Siff, David Costabile, Jeffrey DeMunn, Kelly AuCoin, Daniel Breaker, and Sakina Jaffrey. Andrew Ross Sorkin was also among the series creators alongside Brian Koppelman and David Levien.

In addition to “Billions: London,” “Billions: Trillions,” “Billions: Millions” and “Billions: Miami” are also planned, though production date are yet to be officially announced.

According to sources, “Millions” will follow a string of ambitious financial aspirants ready to do whatever it takes to make sure they don’t drown in Manhattan’s highly competitive landscape. “Trillions,” on the other hand, will follow a group of fictional individuals as they cast their nets over the world and manipulate the very strings of the society through their vast money and influence. We’ve often heard that money talks, in “Trillions” it will.
