Game of Thrones showrunner has confirmed where Daenerys’ body has been hiding. This tidbit was revealed on the DVD commentary on the episode when Drogon brought Daenerys’ body to Volantis shortly after death. It’s no surprise that the Game of Thrones series left fan with a lot of questions, especially concerning Daenerys. It has been oficially confirmed that Drogon took her corpse to Volantis.

The last episode of Game of Thrones chronicled the fallout of Daenerys’ destruction of King’s Landing, which resulted in her untimely death at the hands of Jon Snow. Drogon showed up the moment that she died and tried to wake her up. Then he scoops Daenerys up into his claw and flies off to an unknown place. Fans wanted to know where Drogon was taking her. Bran asks about him in the final council scene and Sam say that the dragon was last seen flying towards Volantis.

Bran then mentions that he’s going to try to find him and then he was taken away by Podrick. The fate of Drogon and Daenerys’ corpse was unknown until now. Of course, there were plenty of Game of Thrones fan theories that have circulated since the series ended earlier this year. Drogon’s secret location has been revealed by the showrunners on the DVD/Blu-ray commentary for the final episode of the series. According to a report via Cinemablend, showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff revealed that Drogon brought Daenerys’ body to Volantis, which confirms what Sam said during the final scene. This confirmation has also been linked to a fan theory that Drogon brought Daenerys’ body to be resurrected.

However, there are plenty of questions still surrounding the Game of Thrones finale. What was the reason behind that location? Did someone request that Drogon bring her body there to have her come back to life? Some fans speculated that Bran was plotting to become king and he was trying to prevent anything that got in his way. There’s still a lot that doesn’t make sense when it comes to Daenerys’ final resting place.

The Game of Thrones series finale was panned by critics and fans alike. It was so bad that actors wanted an alternate ending to the show. It’s unlikely that there will ever be an alternate Game of Thrones sequel, especially since HBO is shifting its focus on the House of Dragon prequel series. But this could also hint towards a new series starring Daenerys and her dragon, who return to hunt down Jon Snow and get their revenge.
