Hallmark Mystery Movie Features ‘Intrigue and Espionage!’

Titled “To Catch A Spy,” a brand-new Hallmark mystery movie will debut this month. And we have so many reasons that we’re marking our calendar (and checking it twice!) to catch the film.

Hallmark describes “To Catch A Spy” as serving up hefty portions of “intrigue and espionage.” The plot features a travel writer who witnesses a murder.

Taking place at a hotel in Malta, that murder traps the writer in one challenge after another. And the big question: Can she discover the real killer before the murderer finds her?!

Hallmark News – Which ‘Chicago Med’ Actors Star On Hallmark Channel?

We love a good cross-over. And now two of our all-time favorites from “Chicago Med” have hopped over to the Hallmark Channel to satisfy that need for “To Catch A Spy.”

Remember Colin Donnell as Dr. Connor Rhodes on the medical TV show? On “Chicago Med,” Donnell portrayed a handsome Trauma Surgery Fellow who struggled to keep his emotions under cover amid the hospital drama.

TV viewers may also recall seeing Colin as Tommy Merlyn on The CW’s “Arrow” as well as Scott Lockhart on various Showtime episodes. Donnell even has taken on the challenges of live stage work, with roles ranging from “Anything Goes” to “Lady Be Good” to “Wicked.”

Starring with Colin in the mystery film, Patti Murin played the recurring character, Dr. Nina Shore, on “Chicago Med.” In addition, TV viewers may recognize Patti from USA’s “Royal Pain” and ABC’s “All My Children.”

Murin also stars as Anna in Broadway’s “Frozen.” She previously played Glinda in a national tour of “Wicked.” And viewers of the Hallmark channel’s Movies & Mysteries also might think Patti looks familiar.

The “Chicago Med” actress co-starred with Melissa Claire Egan and Marc Blucas in “Holiday for Heroes.”

Hallmark News – Chicago Med Stars Patti Murin And Colin Donnell Married With Baby!

For those who think that Colin and Patti seem to act seamlessly, we know the reason: The two Chicago Med actors are married!

Donnell and Murin tied the knot in 2015. Patti often shares photos of Colin and their baby on Instagram.

The actors first met during their starring roles in a musical version of Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost.”
