House of the Dragon: Why You Need to Watch Game of Thrones Prequel

House Of The Dragon Spoilers
Game of Thrones fans already can’t wait to watch House of the Dragon. This Game of Thrones Prequel was just green-lit a few days ago and it already has people talking. This new show is likely to premiere on HBO in 2021. But it’s never too early to talk about George R.R. Martin’s new television show, which is sure to be just as groundbreaking as Game of Thrones was.

Our writers are just as excited to watch this new series. Here are some reasons why you should be excited about House of the Dragon. First, it looks like Miguel Sapochnik is directing this new series. He directed some of Thrones’ best episodes like “Battle of the Bastards,” “Hardhome,” and “The Bells.” Sapochnik will serve as co-showrunner on Dragon alongside Colony’s Ryan J. Condal, who has previously worked on Thrones.

This is giving fans a clear idea of what to expect from this new series. However, the House of the Dragon will take place 300 years before any of the events that happened on Game of Thrones. It also signifies the beginning of the end of the House of Targaryen. That means fans can expect plenty of drama, incestuous themes, and battles from this series.

House Of The Dragon Spoilers – Takes Place During Targaryen Civil War

Remember all the drama that Daenerys’ “children” caused when they grew full-sized? Well, expect more of the same on Dragons. Except this series takes place during the Targaryen Civil War where both sides both sides are dealing with monstrous beasts. Sapochnik has already told fans to expect more dragons, hence the name.

But don’t expect it to be a Game of Thrones spin-off series. The great thing about this original series is that it’s based on that same symmetry of who loves who and who hates who. And now fans get to rediscover that again with a fresh new show.

Expect a new crop of characters, some fan favorites, and some incredible acting performances. Most of the scenes will be pulled from Martin’s hit companion book Fire & Blood.

House Of The Dragon Spoilers – Game Of Thrones Took Pop Culture By Storm

It didn’t take long for HBO to try to recapture the magic of Game of Thrones. It’s obvious how much this series has taken pop culture by storm. It seems like everyone watched this show. But fans are also hoping that the new series with be more diverse and inclusive.

The men weren’t responsible for the success of Game of Thrones. It was because of the talented women, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. And to continue operating in the same manner that Game of Thrones did will only make House of the Dragon look as if it’s really stuck in the past.
