The Thanksgiving week is going to look particularly different for longtime fans of ‘The View’ as the program prepares to diverge from its working schedule to accomodate the festivities.
Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg usually love to take time off during the holidays to either spend time with family or work on individual projects, and this year is no different.
Here’s When ‘The View’ Will Be Back With New Episodes
The holiday stretch is going to mean that the TV landscape will be looking a whole lot different for a while. Many networks and shows will be affected, including ‘The View.’
While we’ve truly enjoyed having the ladies of ‘The View’ keep us up to date with the current affairs in an empathetic and delightful way, Cohosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and moderator Whoopi Goldberg are but humans and will surely need time to recharge and enjoy the holidays like the rest of us.
Per the network’s release, the temporary pause in new episodes will start on Thursday, Nov. 28 and stretch over Friday, Nov. 29. Don’t worry, we won’t miss the stars on Thanksgiving, because guess what, they will be celebrating a day early.
And they’ve got celebrity chef Bobby Flay coming in to prepare something special live on the Wednesday episode. Hopefully, Behar uses the opportunity to tell us more about that one kitchen accident with a large kitchen knife.
Anyway, for the first three days of the holiday week, the network will air new episodes and interviews, with Monday’s edition centering on actor Colman Domingo, Tuesday’s welcoming Lindsay Lohan and Danielle Pinnock, and Jude Law joining for Wednesday’s installment.
Following the brief Thanksgiving weekend break, ‘The View’ will return with new episodes beginning Monday, Dec. 2.
What Will Whoopi Goldberg Be Doing Over the Holidays
As ‘The View’ goes on hiatus, its beloved, often controversial, moderator will be joining the cast of Broadway’s adaptation of the musical, ‘Annie.’
The EGOT winner will be playing the role of Miss Hannigan at the New York theater, with her appearance in the show set to run from December 11 through January 5, 2025. While the show originally starts on December 4, Goldberg will only be joining a week later.
