According to the report, star Tom Ellis and his fellow co-stars have been already cast for broadcast pilots and other series on other streaming platforms. Netflix and Warner Bros. TV will have to hurry up if they want to strike a deal with these actors.
Lucifer first aired on Fox, but then was canceled after three seasons. Netflix picked up the series and gave it new life on the streaming platform. The series was renewed for its fifth and final season last summer. But that could all change now that Netflix is currently in talks with the show’s creator.
It makes sense since Lucifer has become one of the longest-running Netflix shows, behind House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black. The show produced 77 episodes. But what about Lucifer Season 5? Is there a premiere date? According to The Cinemaholic, there is no update on the premiere date for the fifth season. Lucifer Season 4 was released on May 8, 2019.
Instead of the traditional 16 episodes at once, Season 5 will be released in two parts on Netflix. Seeing the pattern of the previously released seasons, Lucifer Season 5 could be released in May 2020 on Netflix.
Season 5 will have many changes. It’s expected to introduce new characters such as Lucifer’s dad, GOD himself. Fans will also look forward to old characters such as Eve. There will also new characters joining the cast.
The new season will also finally address Lucifer’s relationship with Chloe. Chloe and Maze will overcome their breakup and Lucifer will enjoy his life on the throne. What are your thoughts on Lucifer Season 5 and 6? What are you looking forward to? Sound off below in the comments section below.
