Marge Helgenberger In Talks To Reprise Role In CSI:Vegas

CSI:Vegas spoilers and updates tease that fans may once again see a familiar face. It seems like Marg Helgenberger is in talks to reprise her role as Catherine Willow in the upcoming second season of CSI: Vegas.

There has been no confirmation about the return of Helgenberger on the show. Fans may recall that the actress starred in the first 12 seasons of the original show, CSI. She reprised her role on the 14th and final season to commemorate the show’s 300th episode.

The news of the possibility of her reprising her role came about two weeks after Jorja Fox announced that she won’t be returning for season 2. The actress made it clear that her decision to leave has something to do with her co-star’s exit decision.

Fans may recall that William Petersen only signed up for 10 episodes. He may be out as Gil but he’ll stay on as an executive producer. When CSI: Vegas was renewed for another season, the word was that Fox will reprise her role in some capacity. But the actress explained that it won’t be the case.

“For me, CSI has always been a love story. The story that people can find love in the darkest of places and times,” Fox explained in a tweet.

“I personally just can’t split Sara and Grissom up again. So goes Grissom…..So goes Sara. Wherever they go, they belong together,” she continued.

CSI: Vegas’ – Boss Speaks Out

CSI: Vegas showrunner, Jason Tracey said when season 1 ended that there was no expectation that Petersen and Fox will return for a second season. He added that they only asked Petersen and Fox to return for a number of episodes. However, the doors will remain open to these legends, if they decide to return to the show.

CSI:Vegas – Mel Rodriguez Leaves CSI:Vegas

Another cast member is leaving CSI: Vegas. According to TVLine, a source that’s close to the show revealed that Mel Rodriguez won’t be returning for the upcoming second season. The actor, who plays the Chief Medical Examiner Hugo Ramirez, won’t be back as a series regular. However, there’s still a chance that he’ll make guest appearances in the future.

For now, Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez rounds up the main cast of CSI: Vegas. Gil and Sara may no longer be around but there’s still a chance that other characters of the original show may show up.
