NCIS: New Orleans Spoilers: Special Agent Quitting The Show?

A shocking new NCIS: New Orleans revelation just came out today. An original cast member is expected to leave the show come season 6. This news was featured in episode “Matthew 5:9” where Special Agent Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black). He’s seen trying to seek revenge for his brother Cade’s murder.

His latest plan is to take down the drug ring in Alabama that he believes is behind this murder. Lasalle meets a woman named Sue-Anne Hughes, who takes him to a cabin where the murder happened. At the murder scene, he looks at the blood-stained floor. To their surprise, a man breaks into the cabin and tries to shoot Sue-Anne. Lasalle tries to save her by going after the shooter. But he ends up getting shot in the abdomen and his right arm.

Later, Lasalle is airlifted to the hospital and taken to the trauma unit. He apparently survived the emergency surgery and was greeted by visitors. Several minutes into Loretta’s visit with Lasalle, his monitors start beeping erratically. Lasalle is also seen in a haze, talking to his brother and saying, “Let’s go fishing, Cade…”

Doctors rushed in to perform emergency CPR on the man. Several minutes later, Lasalle was pronounced dead to the NCIS team and fans alike. Lucas Black has been a part of NCIS: New Orleans ever since its two-part pilot episode debuted in Spring 2014. Lasalle’s death has hit both fans and the cast mates hard. Everyone expected to Lucas Black to be a part of the show for a very long time.

Even showrunners Christopher Silber and Jan Nash are disappointed by the actor’s departure. The two released a statement to TVLine. They revealed that they had an “incredible run” with Lucas Black and they were happy to have him as part of the NCIS: New Orleans family. While they are sad to see him go, they’re glad that the actor plans to spend more time with his family.

Even Lucas Black took some time to share a heartfelt message on Instagram after the episode aired. In his message, he thanked the fans for their “love and support.” He’s grateful to the fans for being there when he needed them the most. But he wanted to wrap up his story on Agent Lasalle. Black also tied his love for his role to the first responders and the military, saying that he learned a lot.

Lucas Black is a married father of three children. In a previous interview, he revealed that the show took over his life and that he’s looking forward to spending more time with his family.
