The new Walking Dead spinoff finally has a title. Walking Dead: World Beyond is set to make its debut in spring 2020. AMC’s third Walking Dead series is no longer untitled. Scott M. Gimple revealed on social media on Sunday, Nov. 24. AMC also announced that Julia Ormond will be joining the cast as Elizabeth, the leader of a permeable force in the apocalypse.
Gimple took to Instagram to share a photo of the script for the pilot episode, which is titled “Brave,” as reported by TVLine. He said that he’s been “working with a lot of talented people” in which he’s been excited to “bring you a brand-new world.” This latest TWD drama co-created by Gimple and showrunner Mate Negrete takes place a decade after the start of the zombie apocalypse. This series will focus on two female protagonists played by Alexa Mansour (The Resident) and Aliyah Royale (The Red Line).
The two are forced to get along in the post-apocalyptic world. They are two of the first generation to grow up in an age where the dead reanimated to become walkers. These people are known as “Endlings,” who will “become heroes,” according to the synopsis. The show will also have its share of “villains.” But some of these people’s lives “will be changed forever.”
The new series also stars Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Nico Tortorella (Younger), and Nicolas Cantu (The Amazing World of Gumball). It seems like this new series will take place several years after the events that happen on Fear: The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead. It’ll introduce a new group of characters who grew up during the zombie apocalypse. In addition to the announcement, AMC released a short teaser video to give fans an idea of what to expect.
It’s kind of a shock that AMC would move forward with another Walking Dead spin-off series since the original has been on a decline for the past few seasons, according to ScreenRant. The series is expected to premiere some time in spring 2020 on AMC. Only time will tell if fans will react strongly to this show as they did when The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead first premiered.

Might be ok. Will watch the first couple of episodes to see. I’m surprised the audience is declining for the walking dead. In our house we still watch the original.
So do we. I am enjoying this season a lot!
We are also. I can hardly wait for Maggie to come back.
