Sheriff Country spoilers for Friday, October 23, reveal that Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) will find herself investigating a new drug circulating among college students.

Safety for the younger members of Edgewater becomes a huge concern as women continue to disappear.

Mickey is forced to continue working with Wes Fox (W. Earl Brown) and Eva Santos (Rachel Ticotin).

Key Takeaways

• A deadly drug threatens college students.
• Young women continue disappearing.
• Mickey investigates a dangerous cartel.
• Wes risks his life helping Mickey.
• Eva’s past creates trust issues.

The College Epidemic Continues

Mickey races against time to stop a drug epidemic that is affecting college kids in Edgewater.

This drug is extremely dangerous and more deadly than the last batch that was discovered in town.

Mickey will try to identify the street dealers who are working for the guys who were featured in episode one.

All of this ties to the Bulgarian cartel, which has already been involved in kidnapping and torture.

Mickey has one witness who is trying to help her. She was recently rescued from kidnappers after trying to jump off a bridge while high.

As Mickey’s investigation into the dangerous trafficking ring continues, the stakes are getting higher.

Can Mickey get to these middlemen and get them off the streets while the bigger plan is being carried out?

Young Women Being Used For Adult Entertainment

Young women are disappearing and being used by men associated with the drug cartel to handle their trimmers.

Unfortunately, these ladies are being drugged too and are unable to escape the abuse they are forced to endure in the house where they are being held against their will.

Some of these girls don’t even survive this abuse.

Mickey has learned about the house, but they’ve got to find a way to get to the girls being held there without getting someone on the force seriously hurt or worse.

During the Season 2 premiere, Mickey discovered disturbing evidence about the missing young women.

Can these young girls be rescued and returned to their families?

Will the girls involved ever manage to have a normal life again if they do get out?

Wes Fox Puts His Life At Risk

Mickey doesn’t know if she can trust her parents to help take down this cartel.

However, Mickey is not the only one who has reservations.

Wes has agreed to help Mickey take these people down, but he is working with a woman who has lied to him for 35 years.

Eva left Wes and Mickey when Mickey was six and went into prison so that Wes could get out of prison faster and get back to Mickey.

As the Season 1 finale revealed, Wes agreed to help the federal agents take down the Bulgarian cartel in exchange for working with his daughter.

Wes is putting his life on the line by getting involved with this cartel, and he might not make it out if something goes wrong.

Can Wes trust his newly rediscovered wife to keep him safe?

Can Wes and Eva give Mickey the intel she needs to shut down this cartel and get these people out of her town once and for all?

Annemarie’s Take

I think Mickey is taking a huge risk trusting Wes and Eva, especially after everything they’ve put her through.

But with young women disappearing and a dangerous cartel operating in Edgewater, she may not have much choice.

I just hope Wes doesn’t end up getting himself killed trying to help his daughter!

Do you think Mickey can trust her parents, or will Wes and Eva put her investigation in even more danger?
