‘Supernatural’ Stars To Reunite Onscreen For he Final Season Of ‘The Boys’

The fifth and final season of Eric Kripke’s Amazon Prime series, ‘The Boys,’ is going to thrill in more ways than one. For years, fans of ‘Supernatural’ have sought to have some kind of comeback from the boys, aka the Winchester Brothers, and it’s finally happening – though not in any form any of us might have imagined. But we’ll still take this win.

‘Supernatural’ Stars Join ‘The Boys’ For A Finale Season

For a while, rumors have persisted that ‘The Boys’ will be getting a little ‘Supernatural’ for its fifth season. Well, it’s no longer a speculation.

‘Supernatural’ stars and Texas natives Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have been tapped for the upcoming season of ‘The Boys.’ Can you guess who will be joining them? Misha Collins, that’s who!

The reunion was officially confirmed via a short clip of joint reels shared on Instagram by the three CW/WB show alumni. They captioned the clip, “Season 5 just got a bit more supernatural.”
Ackles opens the video, asking, “Hey, Jared. We got work to do … again.”

In reply, Padalecki says, “OK, I’ll tell Misha. Misha, we got work to do.”

Collins appears and gives a thumbs up, before asking “What are we doing?”

This is coming after Kripke, who created both ‘Supernatural’ and ‘The Boys,’ teased a reunion for stars of the former show on the latter’s farewell season somewhere among its eight episode.

“It’s occurred to me that putting those two in a scene together would destroy much of the world, and that’s appealing,” revealed in June 2024 via Entertainment Weekly. “The value of that (reunion) is to break the Internet. So we’ll see whether it’s right for the story,” he added.

Padalecki gracefully accepted the new task at the time, saying, “The answer is yes. Eric and I are indelibly connected forever. I will be ready when he makes the phone call. I’ll just say, ‘OK, when am I flying out?’”

At the moment, it’s unclear which roles Padalecki and Collins will play in the show. On the other hand, Ackles has been with the show since its third season, playing the antihero Soldier Boy.
The fifth season will be premiering on Amazon Prime in 2026.
