Fans of ABC show The Good Doctor are fearful for their favorite character Dr. Glassman. The upcoming episode titled, A Blip, might provide insights into a possible and dreadful return of Dr. Glassman’s cancer. Fans learned of Glassman’s cancer diagnosis in Season 1. It was revealed that he had an inoperable glioma (brain cancer) with just 12 to 18 months of his life left. However, after Shaun pressed him to get another biopsy, it was revealed that the cancer is treatable with chemo and surgery. So, has Dr. Glassman’s cancer really returned? In Season 6 Episode 17, fans saw Shaun confront his peer Jared. After a brain surgery patient suffered minor bleed post-op, Shaun asked Jared why he used eight sutures instead of ten. However, the latter defended himself stating it was Dr. Glassman who handled the case and it was his decision to place eight sutures instead of ten.

If one is to assume that Jared wasn’t manipulating facts, it was hard for Shaun to digest the fact that, Dr. Glassman, a world-class neurosurgeon, could make such a novice mistake. This, paired with an ominous music in the background with Shaun in focus, led fans to believe that Dr. Glassman could be losing his mind. But, why? It is because his brain cancer has returned. Was his cancer never treatable in the first place? Did Shaun misdiagnose Dr. Glassman’s cancer?

If this wasn’t enough, he also struggled to continue his relationship with Debbie followed by which he saw his house consumed by fire.
