The Rookie has become a household staples over its eight seasons on ABC, but longtime viewers remember when Saturday Night Live fan fave Pete Davidson was a member of the cast. Kim Kardashian’s ex played Officer Nolan’s little brother Pete in several episodes and fans miss his witty banter.

John Nolan’s Little Brother On The Rookie
Pete Davidson shines no matter where he goes. The Rookie fans were thrilled when he was added to the cast back in Season 2.
Then he returned in Season 4 to visit Nathan Fillion’s character. It has been four years since he was spotted on the ABC show, but there’s still hope for a return!
Apparently, TPTB at The Rookie have been trying to bring the Saturday Night Live comedian back for a few seasons now!
According to showrunner Alexi Hawley, they have reached out to Davidson but still haven’t been able to work filming in to his busy schedule.
Recently Hawley explained to People Magazine, “We are ever-chasing Pete Davidson and his incredibly busy schedule, but we are always hopeful to work, and he’s really into coming back.”

Will Pete Davidson Come Back To The Rookie Some Day
Sadly, it doesn’t look like John Nolan’s little brother will be back in Season 8. All new episodes of The Rookie are currently airing on Tuesday nights on ABC.
However, the last week of January the series will be bumped to Monday nights to make room for the network’s highly anticipated new PI drama, “RJ Decker.” Here’s to hoping TPTB can work something out with Davidson for the next season.
