‘The View’ Sara and Sunny Try to Get Whoopi Goldberg to Reveal a Secret

On a recent episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg was caught off guard when co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin pressed her to reveal a secret.

Although Whoopi was ready to talk about Ariana Grande, her plans were interrupted as the hosts eagerly pushed her to spill the beans on something she had been keeping under wraps.

An Ordinary Episode Turns Juicy

On the Tuesday, February 11 episode of The View, Whoopi and the other hosts talked about Joy Behar’s new project, My First Ex-Husband Productions, alongside discussions on political topics, including President Trump’s administration.

When Whoopi tried to switch gears to discuss Ariana Grande, Sara Haines stopped her, teasingly saying, “Oh no, don’t do that. You have something to share with the group you did not tell us about.” This left Whoopi momentarily stunned as Sara hinted at a “big secret” she was hiding.

The panel continued to playfully badger Whoopi. Sara persisted, saying they had already heard about the secret from someone else, to which Sunny Hostin chimed in, “Yeah, Whoopi, you kept it a secret.” Even Joy Behar joined in, urging, “Come on, spill it!”

Although Whoopi was initially reluctant, her co-hosts’ persistent encouragement finally led her to reveal, “I’m presenting at the Oscars.”

This confession elicited an enthusiastic reaction from the audience, with Joy joking, “Now, I’ll watch it.” Whoopi then confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter) after the show aired live.

This upcoming appearance at the 2025 Oscars isn’t Whoopi Goldberg’s first rodeo. She last graced the Oscars stage in 2016 at the 88th Academy Awards, where she presented the Honorary Academy Awards and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

She has also hosted the Oscars four times, in 1994, 1996, 1999, and 2002, showcasing her experience and charm.

With predictions that her Ghost co-star Demi Moore might win Best Actress for The Substance, fans are speculating that Whoopi could be part of the award presentation.
