The View Season 28 premiere date has been revealed. The daytime talk show has received sudden backlash from fans who want the show canned. Read on to learn more about the fate of the show.
The View – Fans Call For Cancellation
The View has successfully secured 27 seasons. This is a big deal for a female-centric talk show centered around politics and hot topics. However, fans lost their love for the daytime talk show. Most have begged for the network to cancel the show promptly.
Tensions rose among the panelists ahead of election season. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin have had their share of heated political discussions.
Most viewers didn’t want to join in on these tense discussions in an already divisive world. They want ABC to remove The View from its daytime lineup in the fall.
“Cancel The View already,” one fan posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“Can we cancel The View? I never saw such hateful human beings,” another fan wrote.
“@ABCnetwork cancel The View. It is disgusting!!!” a third user noted.
“The women on the view are horrible. They lead the pact for that type of behavior,” a fourth user begged.
“Who’s their audience? How’s that show still on?” a fifth user asked.
The View premiered in August 1997. It broke the barrier when it offered a platform for women to share their opinions on politics and hot topics. They also invite celebrities and politicians to join their discussions. Most of the backlash is centered around the arguments that the panelists find themselves in. Some fans wonder how long this format could go on for.
Is The View Renewed For Season 28?
According to The U.S. Sun, The View isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. A rep for ABC confirmed that it’s been renewed for Season 28. They shared: “The View will return for Season 28 in September.” The talk show ratings are on the rise despite the backlash.
“The View is not only the number one most-watched daytime talk show for the fourth consecutive year, but it has grown its overall viewership to a 3-year high,” the rep added.
Which of the hosts will be returning? Rumors have been swirling that Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are retiring. Both have other ventures, which could keep them away from multiple episodes in Season 28.
What are your thoughts on The View returning in September? Do you think it’ll last for two more seasons? Sound off below in the comment section.
I love The View!! There are tense moments-a lot of them-but thats what it is-hearing different views about issues we’re concerned about!!! The election is on everyone’s mind right now so obviously that’s the main hot topic. No one is forced to watch it but for me besides the hot topics there are other parts of the show that are
enjoyable!! Mute the sound or turn the channel-I don’t watch soaps but I’m not telling the network to cancel them!!
I agree with the commenter, if you don’t like the VIEW turn the channel. Even if you don’t have CABLE I’m sure that you have more than one channel. This reviewer is not only a soap fan but most likely a Trumper!
Only people on the republican side of politics dislike the view because they tell the truth about Trump. The Republicans don’t like hearing the truth. I love the view.
