The Voice Season 21 – What’s New For The Voice Season 21?

After 20 seasons, fans of The Voice know the formula very well. Four celebrity coaches sit in enormous red revolving chairs. On the initial episodes each season, the coaches face away from the stage. That setup means the contestants get chosen initially only for their voices. 

When a coach wants a singer, he or she hit a button, causing that chair to revolve to see the chosen one. Subsequent episodes feature battles, viewer votes, and, eventually, the naming of the winner. 

But what varies from season to season are the coaches themselves. With the exception of Blake Shelton, The Voice has regularly changed the line-up. 

And those changes have offered new perspectives each season. For season 21, for instance, The Voice will welcome Ariana Grande to her very own over-sized red chair. 

As a result of that change, the pop singer won’t just coach her contestants to (she hopes) the win. Grande will also unveil the mystery talent that she possesses!

When The Voice debuts later this month for its 21st season, look for new coach Ariana Grande to shake up the show.

One of her fellow coaches, Kelly Clarkson, just spilled on what happens when Grande enters.  Ariana Grande is “so funny, like very witty,” said Clarkson per Billboard.

As a result of that up-to-now hidden talent, Grande spends part of her time on The Voice proving she’s “hysterical,” added Kelly. But one coach doesn’t exactly appreciate Ariana’s comedic talents, according to Clarkson.

When The Voice airs its premiere episode this month, watch out for fireworks between long-time coach Blake Shelton and newbie Ariana Grande!

As fans know, Shelton likes to tease the other coaches and steal their spotlight. But the combination of Ariana’s wit and extensive fan base put Blake in his place, revealed Kelly Clarkson. 

As a result of Grande’s position as the newest coach, she walks onto the set first.  The studio audience goes wild… and that appreciation for Ariana turns into trouble for Blake Shelton, who has to follow Grande’s entrance act.

The Voice Season 21 – How Does The Pandemic Impact The Voice?

When NBC airs season 21 of The Voice on September 20, coaches Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson will seek to entertain fans despite the ongoing pandemic.

And although viewers may not realize it, the entire season up to the live episodes got taped prior to the premiere episode, according to Kelly.

But Clarkson admitted that the pandemic has brought challenges.  Due to the pandemic, “everyone was isolated,” admitted Kelly. 

But the coaches aim to help lighten the atmosphere through The Voice.  “When you do focus on helping others, it helps you through your own stuff,” added Clarkson.
