The AMC original series The Walking Dead first teased the arrival of CRM with sneak peeks of helicopters that featured a mysterious three-ring symbol before Season 8 introduced the story. Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) is said to be working with the secret organization.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) was taken into one of the helicopters, with help from Jadis, as he looked like he was approaching his death. CRM was also featured on Fear the Walking Dead when Al (Maggie Grace) was taken by Isabelle (Sydney Lemmon), who turned out to be a member of the group.
The CRM group will also make its way into the new Walking Dead spinoff World Beyond. Tortorella, who plays Felix on the new series, teased the details of the helicopters during his appearance on Talking Dead, as per Comicbook.com. He revealed that fans will learn more about the group. This is also the first time that fans will “get to really meet who’s in those helicopters and where they’re coming from.” Tortorella also revealed that the new series will expand the TWD universe in new ways.
“I’m just so excited for everyone to get a taste of this so soon. I’ve been thinking a lot of about this and this is gonna sound a little shady, and I really don’t mean it to be at all, but I feel like Walking Dead and Fear deal with this universe in local news, and right off the bat with World Beyond, we’re dealing with national news.”
It’s not clear what details the spinoff will reveal about CRM. The arrival of the group may indicate the beginning of the end of the Walking Dead storyline. The Walking Dead: World Beyond will push the story a little more than TWD and Fear did. This is great news for a series that’s known to slow down its storylines.
