The Wheel Of Time — About The Third Season
The Wheel Of Time’s first season was initially written by the late Robert Jordan, and the announcement of the renewal of season 3 of The Prime Video was made on Thursday, July 21, at San Diego Comic-Con.
While speaking about the making of the series, the executive producer expressed his excitement about making the third season of The Prime Video Series. the first season focused on seven people, five out of the seven were villagers in their youth who went on a quest to uncover who among them was the birth of the prophecy. The other two people took them out of the village. Now, the season two made a change in the cast, one of the cast members named Mat was changed.
This season three promises to bring in more casts too to make the season more exciting and suspenseful. The president of Sony Pictures Jeff Frost and his co-president Jason Clodfelter said shared a joint statement of their excitement with the continuity of their partnership with Amazon Studios. “We are so pleased to be able to continue the journey and deliver this remarkable story to fans around the world. Sony Pictures Television is proud to continue its partnership with Amazon Studios as we move toward season 3.”
The Wheel Of Time — Summary Of Season 1
Season one follows five young villagers that all grew up in Emond’s Field; the wisdom of Emond’s Field Nynaeve al’Meara played by Zoë Robins, Matt Cauthon played by Barney Harris, Egwene al’Vere played by Madeleine Madden, Rand al’Thor played by Josha Stradowski, and Perrin Aybara played by Marcus Rutherford. These five youths spend their day like every other day in their village until one day one of the Aes Sedai (a powerful all-female organization known for having magic and channeling) Moiraine played by Rosamund Pike, and her Warder Lan Mandragoran played by Daniel Henney, came to their village as the last place to search for the child prophesied to be the dragon reborn that will stand as the balance between good and evil in the world.
Upon the arrival of Moiraine and Lan in their village, they were attacked by trolls and in the process of fighting for their village, Perrin mistakenly kills his lover Laila, and Moiraine steps in to help the villagers keep the trolls away, and then take the five away. After the battle, Egwene, Rand, Mat, and Perrin all thought Nynaeve died in the battle so they followed Moiraine out to go on the quest of uncovering who among them was the dragon reborn, it could be any of them because they were all of the same age.
Along the line, they got separated, Moiraine and Lan took a different path and met Nynaeve who was dead as they thought, she healed Moiraine. Rand and Matt took another path while Perrin and Egwene come out a different path. Moiraine and Lan got back to the Aes Sedai Tower while Rand and Mat crashed at an inn, Perrin and Egwene met and rode with the traveling Tinkers. Rand and Mat were attacked in the inn they were to pass the night so they moved away, along the line Rand observed that Mat is no longer himself. Perrin and Egwene were caught by Children of light who had in their company a questioner named Eamon Valda.
Eamon Valda took Perrin and Egwene captive and tortured Perring just to get Egwene to channel for him so he can kill her off, while Valda tortured Perrin, Perrin’s eyes suddenly glowed and shone in golden yellow, he attacked Valda and escaped with Egwene. The group later reunited at the Tar Valon.
At the Aes Sedai Tower, the leader of the Aes Sedai exiled Moiraine and, Moiraine led the Nynaeve, Rand, Mat, Egwene, and Perrin to the Stone of Tears to find out who the dragon reborn is a defeat the villain who goes by the name Ba’alzamon. There, Rand discovered he was the dragon reborn, he fought Ba’alzamon, and defeated him. Rand stayed behind in the Stone of Tears while others went away.
