This Is Us season 4 premiered on Tuesday, September 24. It was a memorable episode that introduced new characters, emotional storylines and a look into the distant future. Recently, Justin Hartley, who plays Kevin Pearson, talked about his character’s son. He also joked about having to hide scripts from his wife, Chrishell Hartley.

As fans have heard, one of the storylines and new characters is Kevin’s son. In a Twitter clip of Hartley’s appearance on the Today show, the actor couldn’t give too much away. He would only say that there would be answers about the child.

Viewers saw toward the end of season 3 a conversation between Kevin and his girlfriend, Zoe Baker (Melanie Liburd). Kevin saw Zoe interacting with Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth Pearson’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) daughters. He made the comment that they would both be pretty good at parenting.

This Is Us Spoilers – Is Kevin Pearson’s Child From A Previous Relationship?

Even though Kevin seemed confident in his statement, fans didn’t see the same excitement on Beth’s face. This makes viewers wonder if the child is a surprise from a previous relationship, if Zoe ended up pregnant or if the little boy is adopted.

Chrishell Hartley has stated before that her husband hides This is Us scripts from her. It seems that after all this time, he still maintains that practice. Apparently, he goes to extremes to keep storylines and plots from being discovered.

Fans agree that This is Us Season 4, Episode 1 was a great episode. It introduced new characters, such as Jack Pearson’s (Milo Ventimiglia) brother, who everyone thought died in the Vietnam War. Living in a trailer out in the middle of nowhere and an alcoholic, Kevin tries to get him help.

In addition, there was the introduction of Jennifer Morrison’s character, who returned from military duty with PTSD. It seems she struggles with her experiences overseas and tries to cope by drinking.
