Randall Pearson’s Worry
It is Thanksgiving on the NBC TV show and Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown) is hosting Thanksgiving for the first time at his Philly home. As everyone is rushing around trying to prepare for the holiday, Randall has his mind on other things. Specifically, he is concerned about his mother, Rebecca. She doesn’t seem quite right to him and when he brought it up, Rebecca became defensive and angry.
Expect this troubling storyline to continue when the fall finale airs on Tuesday, November 19.

This Is Us season 4, episode 9 spoilers indicate that Rebecca could be going through a crisis. She is standing in the middle of the street. She repeatedly looks to the left, then to the right over and over again. Judging by the look on her face, Rebecca is lost and confused. It appears that she doesn’t know where she is or how to get home. She might not even know how she got to that street in the first place.
Meanwhile, Randall keeps dialing his mom’s number, hoping she will pick up. Despite numerous attempts to contact Rebecca, she never answers the phone. All the messages that Randall left for her go unanswered. His concern will quickly evolve into sheer panic as his mind races.
Thanksgiving Turmoil
As a character with anxiety, Randall’s head won’t stop spinning with all the possibilities and worst case scenarios. He is also a man who can’t just sit around and do nothing. Fans should expect him to go looking for Rebecca, but will he find her before she gets hurt or worse?

Lives Changed Forever
Regarding Rebecca’s health, it seems like she could be suffering from an age-related condition. Something is happening to her mind and it is possible that the Pearson family could be dealing with a difficult and devastating diagnosis.
