TLC 90 Day Fiance Spoilers – Chuck Potthast Thinks Andrei Castravet Fled To Ireland Because Of Legal Trouble

Chuck thinks Andrei fled to Ireland because of legal trouble and talked about it on the latest installment of the show. He and his son Charlie have arrived in Moldova for Andrei and Elizabeth’s Moldovan wedding, with her mother and one of her sisters to arrive later. As viewers will recall, Chuck financed the trip and the wedding, but it turns out he did so with an ulterior motive – wanting to find out more about Andrei and his past, even though the couple has been married for a while in America.

Chuck and Charlie intend to dig into Andrei’s past and hope to strike pay dirt about Andrei having a criminal record. The interrogation of Andrei started in the car on the way from the airport and continued through a sumptuous meal prepared by his mother, but Andrei’s story about leaving what he assumed was a high paying career as a police detective in Moldova to take a job as a bouncer in Ireland didn’t wash with him, and he and Charlie interrogated Andrei’s brother Radu about it but Radu verified Andrei’s story.

Given that Andrei does seem to have a problem with his temper, it’s easy to imagine that he may have either been fired from the police department for mouthing off to a supervisor or perhaps fired due to pending criminal charges, possibly for assault.

Andrei Castravet Admitted He’d Had Some “Problems” But Wouldn’t Specify

Andrei admitted that he had some “problems” but wouldn’t specify what they were, which made Chuck and Charlie even more suspicious – after all, why the defensiveness if he’d done nothing wrong? Charlie asked if he’d gotten in trouble and Andrei had smirked, and sarcastically said,” something like that” telling him he didn’t need to know any specifics as Charlie kept prodding.

Chuck and Charlie are a day late and a dollar short with their investigation into Andrei’s background and their suspicions of a prior criminal record, since Andrei married Elizabeth quite some time ago. They may run into some trouble trying to look into if he has a criminal record as well, as local authorities may not be cooperative or even able to speak English, for that matter, and Chuck and Charlie could cause big trouble which may alienate Elizabeth from them, should they open a can of worms and someone shows up to arrest Andrei because of their digging!

However, accusations don’t always pan out – there has to be proof, and if there were pending charges in Moldova it really doesn’t make a lot of sense for Andrei to be so anxious to go over and have another wedding to Elizabeth there; and if anything had made it to court, it would have hindered his K-1 visa.

However, with Andrei’s defensiveness, it does show that he may have something to hide, and it could be past accusations of something criminal, although by now there may be a statute of limitations that has expired, which means at least he didn’t commit something serious like murder!
