Fans of TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé – Happily Ever After?” are concerned about Angela Deem’s visit to her gynecologist and the ramifications for Angela and Michael Ilesami’s relationship. In the most recent sneak peek, “Caught In The Crossfire” Angela was told not only was there no egg in her ovary but that what she thought was a period is not a period – it could be a sign of uterine cancer!
Angela Deem Has Fibroids, But Does That Mean That She Has Cancer?
Angela’s gynecologist is concerned that she may have endometrial cancer (cancer of the lining of the uterus) because her uterus is enlarged. She acknowledged that it could be enlarged because of additional fibroids that may be hiding – the ultrasound only showed one, and it wouldn’t show cancer unless a tumor was huge. Fibroids are usually benign tumors that are caused by excess estrogen that goes haywire in one’s system, but they normally don’t make a woman who has not menstruated for two or three years suddenly have a “period” that lasts four to five days like Angela’s had.
This is why Angela is being advised to have an endometrial biopsy, and also why her gynecologist said that she was going to remove the fibroid that she did see. Viewers will recall that while in Nigeria, Angela and Michael had gone to a fertility clinic and the doctors there saw an ovary with one egg. Obviously, that one egg would have been gone by now if it was there, either reabsorbed or possibly discarded with the bleeding that she has been experiencing, which she assumed was a reappearing menstrual period. The American gynecologist disputed that what the one in Nigeria saw was an ovary with a egg and speculated it was an ovarian cyst.
What If Angela Has Cancer? Michael Ilesani’s Family Is Pressuring Her To Have His Baby!
What if Angela has cancer and has to have a full hysterectomy? That would dash her and Michael’s (as well as his family’s) dreams of Michael having a child – at least with Angela! If there is no uterus there is no way she could even carry a child with an in-vitro process using an egg from a surrogate mother! And there’s no telling how Michael or his family would react to how that process would work – even though it would be his child. They seem to want this grandchild the old fashioned way, but it may not be possible! One important thing for Angela to consider is what is worth more – her health, or pleasing potential in-laws.

She also needs to consider Michael’s reactions when she tells him what is going on, and that potential cancer is nothing to fool around with – her life could be in danger if not dealt with immediately, as cancer could spread to other organs. Will he be more worried for her health, as he should be, or more worried about what his parents will think and their opinions? The only option in that case for him to have his own child would be finding a surrogate mother!

Pray for good news for Angela. I really believe Michael loves her. Hopefully he’ll be by her side.
Hope her biopsy turns out negative.
However, it’s unrealistic for Michael & his family to expect a 54 year old morbidly obese female to be bearing a child. Angela would be having a high-risk pregnancy and the hormones she would have to take for in-vitro would probably really mess her up since she is probably already going through menopause w/ all those hormonal changes already.
