TLC ’90 Day Fiance -Happily Ever After’ Spoilers: Karine Confirms She And Pierre Are Safe From Paul

TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After” star Karine Martins Staehle has verified that she and Pierre are indeed safe and that she has separated from Paul Jason Staehle after the explosive arguments caught on tape and publicized, posted, taken down, put up again, and then taken down again several times by Paul in the last 24 hours or so!

Karine shared in an Instagram story today, after her Instagram having been offline for several hours, that she and Pierre are indeed safe, and the police know where to contact her if necessary. This came after many, many fans and followers worried about her and Pierre after reading Paul’s disturbing posts and seeing her Instagram being down.

She has filed an emergency protective order (that he had posted his copy of and then took down) in which she documented physical and sexual abuse, extreme controlling behavior on his part, threats, and even prevented her doctor from prescribing contraception! Karine revealed in May that she was expecting their second child. She has previously announced divorce plans several times, but it looks like this time she may stick with her plans.

This would not be surprising…many women in abusive relationships go back and forth to the abuser, either out of fear or out of false hopes that the abuser will change his ways.

Paul started posting videos, photos of the restraining order, and claims that she had gone “missing” along with Pierre while he was in a hospital waiting for test results that he later claimed he feared would show he had cancer, only to have the tests come back that he had a sexually transmitted disease, which he assumed he got from Karine cheating on him!

He claimed that Karine took off with Pierre and “hopped in some dude’s car”, and that neighbors had called him while in the hospital, even though a video he posted today on his Instagram plainly shows a policeman telling Karine and her interpreter that they would be glad to take her anywhere she wanted to go, as Paul could be seen in the background walking back and forth and holding Pierre.

He talked about never cheating on her, but yet he had an STD in one video, which he later deleted. He later posted another video and a card saying the sheriff had come looking for Karine because she was missing.

Karine later posted a message verifying she and Pierre were safe and “doing well” now, in addition to saying that police knew where to find her or contact her if necessary. She said during the past few days there was a lot going on and has seen the media frenzy that Paul’s videos and social media statements generated. She feared for her life and that of Pierre, which led her to call the police and ask for help.

She then wrote she and Pierre have been rescued from an unhealthy and dangerous environment thanks to the police. She says she is getting the best help available and is very thankful for those who have helped her and also for those who have worried and for their support. She says their concern is a big part of their (she and Pierre’s) recovery.

She also commented that relationships can be hard to fix, and sometimes cannot be fixed. She is using this time of separation to work on herself, care for her son, and organize her thoughts regarding everything they have been through in the last year and a half. She also explained that the protective order was not in her own handwriting because the translator was writing it for her – Paul also had posted photos of recipes she had handwritten, trying to shed doubt that she had requested the protective order herself.

She also denied that the sheriff’s department was looking for her and that it is not a media matter but a legal matter. She also said it’s the first and last time she would speak about the subject. Apparently there have been Go Fund Me accounts set up to help her financially, however, she had nothing to do with them and that people should report the accounts to the authorities and only requests prayers for her and Pierre.

She also verified that Paul had reported her to Child Protective Services as a drunk and neglectful of Pierre and abusive to Paul – which was the same story he used when he violated a previous restraining order from an ex in 2013, referring to Paul being abused by the woman! She also says she has seen Paul threatening and being violent towards his own mother, and that she will not report him..probably out of fear! Karine wants no contact with Paul or his friends and family for that reason. The rest of Paul’s rants and threats are well documented by media.
