TLC 90 Day Fiancé -Happily Ever: Michael Ilesamni, Angela DeemTLC’s “90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After” star Angela Deem has been worried about whether she will be able to “tote” a baby for Michael Ilesanmi for quite some time now – but in an upcoming episode of the show, she has to give him the bad news that she may have endometrial cancer, which would preclude even being able to carry a baby at all. She fears he may leave her over it!

TLC 90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers – Angela Is 54 Years Old And Menopausal Age

Angela is menopausal age the way it is, being 54 years old and her own daughters being at least in their twenties if not their thirties, and has six grandchildren. While in Nigeria previously, she and Michael had gone to a gynecologist there who told them she saw an egg in Angela’s ovary via ultrasound. From that point, they thought she would be able to conceive and that they could have a baby of their own, at least one.

Then Angela returned back home to Hazlehurst, Georgia and as viewers will recall from this season she started to experience vaginal bleeding and thought she had started menstruating again after not having had a menstrual period for a good three years. However, when she went to see her own gynecologist it turned out that the “egg” seen by the Nigerian gynecologist was not an egg at all, but a fibroid tumor. 

Fibroids are not cancerous, but they do not cause bleeding after three years of no menstrual periods either, so Angela’s gynecologist was very concerned that she could have endometrial cancer, and performed a biopsy. In a recent sneak peek of the next installment of “90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After” titled “Hell Hath No Fury”, Angela knows that she has to give the bad news to Michael and was very worried that he may not want her if she cannot even carry an egg from a donor, and the way he talked, he wasn’t sure about it either!

TLC 90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers – Angela Gives Michael The Bad News

Just a few days before their wedding was to take place in Nigeria, Angela told Michael that she had to talk to him about something very serious while they were on a date visiting a nature reserve. They had just visited a monkey enclosure where Angela had become frightened by an overly friendly Capuchin monkey, and they left the monkey enclosure and sat down on a bench along the way.

Angela took a deep breath and looked more than a little nervous as she told Michael she had potentially bad news and didn’t want to keep it from him before getting married. The scene cuts to Angela telling the TLC producers her fears, that Michael would leave her if she couldn’t give him a baby.

Her gynecologist had called her to let her know the results of the biopsy were in, and she wanted Michael to be with her when she heard them. She had to explain to her concerned fiancé that the “period” she had told him about was not a period at all and could mean she has uterine cancer, which would mean a total hysterectomy including ovaries, as it could spread throughout her body if everything was not removed.

First, she told Michael that the Nigerian doctor was wrong and that she didn’t have any more eggs. But if her uterus is removed, she could not even carry an in-vitro baby with a donor egg! Otherwise, they could use a surrogate, but she stressed that her health was most important, as she could literally die!

TLC 90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers – Michael Was Devastated

Michael was visibly devastated when he found out Angela may not be able to have a baby, and asked if this meant pregnancy was totally out of the question, and she said maybe (not having gotten the results yet) but that her health was more important than having a baby right then and then gave him the shocking news that she might have cancer.

Michael realized she could die from this, as he told TLC producers that he was very worried. Back to Angela and Michael’s conversation, she told him her worries that he would leave her over her not being able to have a baby with him. She was afraid he would find a younger woman – and confusion showed in his facial expressions as he told her that it was a big question for him; because this was what he really wanted, and that they had been talking about having a baby for years, and he had to think about it!

Cut to Michael talking to the TLC producers, and he admits that he would be heartbroken if he and Angela couldn’t have a child on their own. In his culture, plural marriage is legal and he could take a second wife or a concubine, but he knew Angela wouldn’t stand for that. Being a father is one of the most important things to him, Michael said.

Back to Angela and Michael, he told her that he loves her but not being a father would be hard on him, and she wasn’t happy to hear his doubts – she wanted to hear unconditional love from him, but that’s not what she got! She told him then maybe they shouldn’t marry, but Michael told her to give him more time to think about it – to think about if a baby was a big enough issue to break up over. She then told him if having a baby was more important, then he wasn’t the man for her!
