After the TLC 90 Day Fiancé star broke up with Erika Owens, it was a bittersweet return to New York as she still can’t open up about her bisexuality to her mom.

After a heartfelt breakup, Stephanie Matto left her 90 Day Fiancé girlfriend Erika in Australia and flew home to New York. It was truly a bittersweet moment as Stephanie arrives at the airport. She is warmly greeted by her mother, Magda, and her black Lab dog, Milo. However, while Stephanie is happy to see her mother again, she has mixed feelings. She still doesn’t know how she will ever be able to come out to her mom as bisexual.

90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Star Stephanie Matto Heads Home From Australia

In an exclusive teaser clip of Sunday’s episode, released by Entertainment Tonight, the 90 Day Fiancé star can be seen arriving at the airport in New York. Tears and laughter are the order of the day as she reaches her mother and is greeted by her loving dog, Milo.

The YouTube blogger is clearly happy to be home. However, her arrival is also tinged with sadness. Her mother, Magda, believes Erika is just a friend, nothing more. Stephanie has no idea how she can explain the situation to her mom.

While Stephanie and her mom are close, Magda tends to be a little overprotective, which makes it even harder for her to tell her mother she is bisexual.

For the most part, the reason for Stephanie and Erika’s breakup is the fact she cannot come out to her mother about her sexuality. Erika refuses to be kept a secret. She recently confessed to Stephanie that a former girlfriend, who she saw on and off for ten years, had kept her secret. Erika didn’t want this to happen to her again. On Stephanie’s part, she was shocked that Erika had hidden a former long-term relationship from her.

Stephanie called Erika before she left Australia to ask her to meet for one last time. Unfortunately, the meeting didn’t go well for the two ladies. Erika refuses to accept Stephanie’s apologies, leaving her feeling sad.

Entertainment Tonight has previously interviewed Erika about the break-up. She confessed to the cameras that she wishes Stephanie had never come to Australia.

90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Star Has Been Through An ‘Emotional Experience’

Stephanie says she has been through a “really emotional experience.” What she would like to do is talk it through with her mother. However, she says she can’t, which leaves her feeling very lonely.

Stephanie had said in an earlier interview with ET that coming out (or not) was the main feature of her story. She explained that nobody’s coming out journey is the same and it is never simple or “cut and dry.” Stephanie said while Erika was impatient for her to come out, she hopes others will understand her situation. She says she will come out one day when she is finally ready.
